Bugaboo Fox 5 Renew: Current-Model Overview and Renee’s Older Red Bugaboo
Important model note: Renee used an earlier red Bugaboo stroller, which is no longer available new. We updated this page to discuss Bugaboo’s current Fox 5 Renew. Renee has not used the Fox 5 Renew, so her firsthand experience below applies only to the earlier stroller; current-model details are based on Bugaboo’s published information.
Our Family’s Experience with Renee’s Earlier Bugaboo
Renee used the red Bugaboo before she outgrew it. As she needed more support, we moved to the Special Tomato EIO Push Chair. That is the extent of the hands-on experience we can speak to here.

What Bugaboo Says About the Fox 5 Renew
Bugaboo describes the Fox 5 Renew as an all-terrain stroller and highlights one-hand operation, maneuverability, and comfort. Those are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not results from Renee using this current model. See Bugaboo’s Fox 5 Renew product information for current features and availability.
What We Can—and Can’t—Recommend
Our experience confirms that Renee used an earlier red Bugaboo, then needed a different chair as she grew. We can’t verify how the Fox 5 Renew fits Renee, supports her positioning, folds in daily use, or holds up over time. For that reason, we are not assigning the current model a family rating.
Families considering the Fox 5 Renew should compare its current seat and support options with the needs of the person who will use it. We can’t recommend the current model from firsthand experience.
